About

We meet on the third Saturday of the month at Craiglockhart Church, Craiglockhart Drive North, Edinburgh. Please consult the programme page for variations.

Visitors are welcome. There is a visitors’ fee of £5 per visitor.

Come for the whole day, or just part! Bring your spinning wheel and/or current projects or just come and see what we do and join in. Options for buying lunch in the immediate vicinity are limited – you may want to bring a packed one!


Membership

Membership is available to those over the age of 8 years old who are interested in weaving, spinning or dyeing.

The membership year starts in August, and those joining part way through a year pay a pro-rata fee – please consult the membership secretary for details.

Junior membership – for young people aged 8 – 15. Junior members must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the meeting.

Senior membership – for those aged 16 and over.

In the year 2025/26, senior membership is £25, and junior membership is £12.


Governance

The Guild is a Charity registered in Scotland, No SC005692.

A voluntary Committee of members organises all aspects of the Guild’s activities, including membership rolls, workshops, talks and visits, hall hire, and adminstrative issues such as compliance with charity and data security legistlation.

Committee members are Trustees of the Charity.
